Welcome!

Bonito Sol is a small family run business and the property has been our family home since 1995. Our two daughters were born in Malaga City, raised in the villa, and are more Spanish than English so our collective knowledge is quite extensive should you have any questions! In recent years we’ve found ourselves back in England for family reasons and with the girls having flown the nest we decided to open up our home for others to enjoy, to relax, to de-stress, to holiday in, and to experience the joys of the Costa Del Sol. We have extensively remodelled the house to suit holiday rentals and accordingly have been awarded a Junta de Andalucia Tourism license to trade as a recognised holiday business.

The villa was built in 1985 in a rustic Spanish style. The bars at the windows are a legacy from the time when the Moors occupied this part of Spain – they were designed to keep the womenfolk inside, and are an integral part of the charm of the architecture of this part of the world. The house is two-storey with a comfortable and pleasant interior layout, with two bedrooms available on the ground floor for those guests less able to walk upstairs. The house and garden are set well back from the street – courtesy of the 50m long private driveway, which provides parking for a number of cars in single file formation. Entry to the drive is through an electronic gate operated by remote control and/or a button in the entrance hall of the house, and there is an intercom for communication between the street and the property.

The entry door to the villa is under a covered porch and opens into a square entrance hall with a w.c. Through double doors opposite the entry, the hallway leads to the large lounge with an open fireplace and off-set dining area, and the kitchen off to one side. Both the kitchen and lounge open out onto separate terraces leading to the garden and pool… the kitchen has double sliding doors leading to a pergola-style terrace along one side of the pool, and the lounge has double sliding doors opening on to a covered terrace which in turn leads on to a patio and the BBQ area.

To the other side of the entrance hall there is a large double bedroom with en-suite walk-in shower, wash basin vanity unit and toilet. Double patio doors open onto a small terraced area with table and chairs. This (Bedroom 1) is at the rear of the property.

On the right of the entrance hall is a curved staircase, at the top of which there is dual aspect double bedroom with twin beds, en-suite shower, wash basin vanity unit and toilet. This (Bedroom 2) is above the entrance to the house and overlooks the driveway.

Along the corridor, on the left is a mirrored walkway which leads to Bedroom 3. This is a double room with a king-size bed and en-suite shower, wash basin vanity unit and toilet. The room is dual aspect and overlooks the pool and garden.

Finally, at the end of the upstairs walkway you find Bedroom 4, the master suite, which comprises an extra large double bedroom with a seating/vanity area leading out to a terrace overlooking the pool, garden, and valley beyond the property, and a smaller all day sun terrace to the side of the bed. This room also has an en-suite bathroom, with bath, separate shower, double wash basin vanity unit and toilet.

The self-contained studio apartment (Bedroom 5) is at the upper end of the garden - you will see it as the single storey part of the property in the photos. Although adjoined to the main house it is totally separate, with access being from the lounge terrace and BBQ area. It has an en-suite shower, wash basin and toilet, and also benefits from its own kitchenette with fridge-freezer, hob, microwave and washing machine. This suite is really ideal for teenagers wanting to escape parents, or for grandparents wanting to escape the rest of the family!

The private garden is secluded and wraps around the whole property. The pool has 3 curved steps leading into a 1m shallow end sloping down to 2m at the deep end. The garden itself has sun traps at all times of the day, plus areas of shade courtesy of the various trees and terraces. There is a weekly pool and garden maintenance service and an automated irrigation system in the garden which will come on at certain times during the night.

Thanks to the location of Bonito Sol, guests can tailor their holidays to suit; whether you prefer to stay home and enjoy the pool and garden or to walk to the beach, cook for yourselves or dine out, we are sure you will be happy and comfortable in the villa, and will return home having had a wonderful holiday.
